NaturaLawn of America’s Corporate Office Focuses on Energy Conservation

FREDERICK, Md. — Since its inception, NaturaLawn of America has been challenging the status quo of the green industry. President and Founder Phil Catron made it his mission to raise the bar for safety standards in lawn care. This approach is reflected in many aspects of the company's values to be more family, pet, and eco-conscious.

The Corporate Office in Frederick, Maryland implemented Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) to increase energy efficiency, replacing every fluorescent light fixture in the office building with LED fixtures. This measure will reduce the amount of electricity the office consumes while improving the quality of light for the office staff.

Once all of the fixtures were replaced, the fluorescent light bulbs were properly disposed of and taken to a recycling center so they would not end up in the environment.

NaturaLawn of America strives to reduce its impact on the environment in the field and in the office. In the field, the need for excess chemicals is drastically reduced with lawn programs tailored to the specific needs of each property using safer products. In fact, within its first two years of operation, NaturaLawn of America reduced the amount of weed control and insect control by over 86% and 93%, respectively, as compared to traditional chemical lawn care.

Being a responsible steward of the environment means striving to do more in every aspect of a company. The switch to ECMs in the corporate office is another way NaturaLawn of America is making a difference.
